Terms
Draft terms for the CRATOGY Windows beta.
These are pre-launch terms. Final legal review is still pending. They describe the intended license and responsibilities so testers know what to expect, and they may be replaced by a finalized agreement. They do not choose a court or a country.
Software license
CRATOGY is licensed, not sold. Subject to these draft terms, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the beta on computers you own or control, for organizing and preparing music libraries you are allowed to use. The license does not transfer ownership of the software.
Acceptable use
Use CRATOGY lawfully. Use it with music and files you have the right to use. Do not use the software to interfere with someone else’s computer, to distribute harmful software, or to bypass technical protections.
Music and files
You are responsible for the files and music libraries you use with CRATOGY. That includes whether you have the rights needed to store, organize, and play that music.
Backups
Keep your own backups of music files, DJ libraries, and any CRATOGY catalog you rely on. Beta software can fail. CRATOGY is not a backup service and should not be your only copy of important library information.
DJ databases
CRATOGY is designed so that supported Serato and rekordbox workflows read library information without automatically rewriting your original Serato or rekordbox databases. Keep your own copies of those libraries.
Beta software
CRATOGY 0.1.0 is beta software for real-world testing. Features may be incomplete, behavior may change, and the software may contain defects. It is not a finished commercial release. A Windows download and Microsoft Store listing are not offered from this website yet. They will be added as the release process is completed.
Third-party software and services
Serato and rekordbox are separate products. CRATOGY does not replace them. The installer may interact with Microsoft WebView2 installation requirements, which are covered by Microsoft’s own terms. Source, license, and help links may open external websites that have their own terms. If you import optional local ONNX models, those files are yours and are processed locally.
Intellectual property
The CRATOGY software is owned by James Quayson. These terms do not give you ownership of the software, its name, or its design. You keep your rights in your own music and files. Third-party names, including Serato and rekordbox, remain the property of their respective owners.
Limitation of liability
CRATOGY 0.1.0 is beta software provided as is. To the extent a finalized governing law allows, James Quayson disclaims warranties and is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the beta, including lost files, lost library data, or a disrupted performance. Liability that cannot legally be excluded is unaffected. Because governing law is not finalized, this section is a draft and is not a completed limit of liability.
Termination
You may stop using CRATOGY by uninstalling it. The beta may be withdrawn or replaced. Responsibility for your files, and the draft limitation of liability, are meant to continue after you stop using the software.
Governing law
The law and courts for these terms have not been selected.
[GOVERNING LAW / JURISDICTION — TO BE FINALIZED]
This placeholder will be replaced after legal review. These terms do not select a country, state, or court.
